Matthew's Sea Sand Potato Soap takes its name from Matthew Cuthbert—the quiet, kind-hearted farmer of Green Gables who worked the Island soil with steady hands and a gentle spirit. Like Matthew himself, this soap is unassuming, honest, and deeply rooted in the land.

We craft each bar using real cold-pressed, screened potato juice—not water from boiled potatoes—blended with oils to create a naturally silky feel and a rich, creamy lather. The addition of fine Island Sea Sand provides a light, natural exfoliating texture, perfect for hardworking hands or anyone who appreciates a gentle polish. The bar is completely free of added fragrance, just like Matthew preferred things: simple, pure, and without fuss.

This soap is ideal for those who want a clean, straightforward bar with no scent—mild, long-lasting, and suitable for everyday use, whether you're tending gardens, working with your hands, or simply prefer the quiet comfort of an unscented soap.

Potato Juice - Not Potato Water from boiled potatoes. There is limited scientific evidence that potato cooking water provides measurable skincare benefits. Potato water may contain certain micro nutrients and can best be used to fertilize house-grown plants.
