New! Embroidery Workshop with Emilie Marcotte (Thursday, July 17, 6:30-8:30pm)

Spend an evening at Modern Fable with good friends and great fibre art! 

On Thursday, July 17th, at 6:30-8:30, find some inspiration and create your own personalized embroidery. It’s BYO! So, bring your own clothing and learn basic techniques to achieve a refresh on your favourite piece. All other materials will be provided including thread, needles, and embellishments. 

There will be adequate instruction on how to start and finish your small embroidery work with lots of inspiration to get you started. Learn about simple stitches, filling in shapes, and add a little sparkle, if you’d like! 

Requirement for clothing piece: 

• Any clothing piece that you may want to embellish, refresh, or transform! 
• I.e. non-stretch denim/twill pants, button downs, light-weight jackets, blouses, etc.
• Pick an item that does not create a lot of stretch as your creation can pucker the fabric. Try woven fibres like cotton, linen, or poly blends. If you have any doubts, bring a couple of options and we’ll help you out!
